Japan continued its dominance in the global bulldozer and angledozer trade. In 2014, Japan exported 7.7 thousand units of bulldozers and angledozers totaling 862 million USD, 1% under the previous year. Its primary trading partner was the U.S., where it supplied 25.6% of its total bulldozer and angledozer exports in value terms, accounting for 68.2% of total U.S. imports.

From 2007 to 2014, Japan was a net exporter of bulldozers and angledozers. In this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms.

The U.S. and Brazil were among the other main global suppliers of bulldozers and angledozers in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were Thailand (+57.4% per year) and South Africa (+10.7% per year). Thailand, by nature of this rapid ascent, significantly strengthened its position in the global export structure.

In 2014, Japan's top 5 trading partners were the U.S., the United Arab Emirates, the Russian Federation, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, with a combined 60.4% share of Japan's exports. The share of the U.S. increased significantly (+9.2 percentage points), while the share of the Russian Federation illustrated negative dynamics (-6.2 percentage points).
