China Is the World's Leading Exporter of Electric Space Heating Apparatus

China dominates in the global trade of electric space heating apparatus and soil heating apparatus. In 2014, China exported 154 thousand tonnes of electric space heating apparatus and soil heating apparatus totaling 1.8 billion USD, 13% over the previous year. Its primary trading partner was the U.S., where it supplied 35.2% of its total electric space heating apparatus and soil heating apparatus exports in value terms, accounting for 78.7% of the U.S.'s total imports.

From 2007 to 2014, China was a net exporter of electric space heating apparatus and soil heating apparatus. Over this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms. However, in physical terms, the difference was less pronounced.

Germany and Italy were among the other main global suppliers of electric space heating apparatus and soil heating apparatus in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were Malaysia (+67.0% per year) and Turkey (+12.8% per year).

China's top 5 trading partners in 2014 were the U.S., Japan, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation and Canada, with a combined 59.8% share of China's electric space heating apparatus and soil heating apparatus exports. The share of Japan increased modestly (+2.4 percentage points), while the share of the Russian Federation illustrated negative dynamics (-4.1 percentage points).
