China dominates in the global doll and toy trade. In 2014, China exported 1.2 million tonnes of dolls and toys totaling 14.1 billion USD, 14% over the previous year. Its primary trading partner was the U.S., where it supplied 34.1% of its total dolls and toys exports in value terms, accounting for 39.7% of the U.S.'s total imports.

China's top 5 trading partners in 2014 were the U.S., the United Kingdom, Philippines, Japan and Germany, with a combined 52.6% the share of China's dolls and toys exports. The share of Philippines increased (+4.0 percentage points), while the share of the U.S. illustrated negative dynamics (-9.5 percentage points).
