Germany’s Exports of Women's Hosiery Grew by 7.6% per year from 2007 to 2014

Germany's market for socks, stockings and other women's hosiery showed growth, rising from 578 million EUR in 2007 to 713 million EUR in 2014. From 2007 to 2014, market volume decreased with a CAGR of 0.8%, dropped to 757 million pairs in 2014.

From 2007 to 2014, Germany's exports of socks, stockings and other women's grew by 7.6% per year, amounting to 403.5 million EUR in 2014. In physical terms, exports increased to 309.5 million pairs.

Turkey and China were the main suppliers of socks, stockings and other women's hosiery into Germany, with a combined share of 47.4% of total imports in 2014. However, the fastest growing suppliers were Pakistan (+31.2% per year) and the Netherlands (+10.4% per year) from 2007 to 2014.

In 2014, the main destinations of Germany's women's hosiery export were Austria (13.7%), the Netherlands (13.7%) and France (10.1%). The shares of the countries receiving their products from Germany remained stable or showed a slight increase.
