From 2007 to 2014, EU tractor production showed negative dynamics, falling from 340 thousand units in 2007 to 279 thousand units in 2014. It dropped with a CAGR of 2.8% over the period under review. In value terms, EU tractor production decreased to 8,279 million EUR in 2014, falling by 0.4% annually.

Italy was the largest producer on the tractor market in absolute volumes (93 thousand units). It was distantly followed by Germany (53 thousand units), Sweden (21 thousand units), Croatia (9 thousand units) and Finland (7 thousand units).

From 2007 to 2014, each country among the leading in tractor producers illustrated negative paces of growth: Italy (-1.1% per year), Germany (-1.6% per year), Sweden (-10.7% per year), Croatia (-3.8 per year) and Finland (-6.5 per year).

Italy dominated in EU tractor production and ranked third in trade. In 2014, it exported 99% of its total tractor output. Of this amount, 15% was supplied to Germany, where Italy's tractors held a 29% share of total Germany's imports.
