From 2008 to 2014, EU cash register production showed mixed dynamics, rising from 678 thousand units in 2008 to 1,766 thousand units in 2014. Over the period under review, it expanded with a CAGR of 17.3%. In value terms, EU cash register production reached 360 million EUR in 2014, growing by 0.7% annually.

The countries with the largest production of cash registers in absolute volumes were Hungary (832 thousand units), Bulgaria (248 thousand units), Poland (240 thousand units) and France (140 thousand units).

Positive dynamics in cash register production among the main producing countries from 2007 to 2014 were recorded in Hungary (+39.9% per year), while for the other two EU leaders (Bulgaria and Poland) the pace of growth was more modest.

Poland dominated in EU cash register production and trade. In 2014, Poland exported 439 thousand units of cash registers. Of this amount, 35% was supplied to Sweden, where Poland's cash registers held a 3% share of total Sweden imports.
