Poultry Market - Poland Shows the Highest Volumes of Poultry Production among EU Countries

From 2007 to 2014, EU production on the poultry market showed steady growth, rising from 11.2 million tonnes in 2007 to 15.0 million tonnes in 2014. It expanded with a CAGR of +4.2% over the period under review. In value terms, EU poultry production reached 31.0 billion EUR in 2014, growing by +4.9% annually.

The countries with the largest production of poultry in absolute volumes were Poland (2.0 million tonnes) and Spain (1.8 million tonnes). From 2007 to 2014, both countries showed positive growth dynamics, +7.7% for Poland and +2.6% for Spain.

Poland dominated in EU poultry production and ranked second in trade. In 2014, it exported 34% of its total poultry output. Of this amount, 17% was supplied to Germany, where Poland's poultry held a 20% share of total German imports.
