Spain dominates in the global cauliflower and broccoli trade. In 2014, Spain exported 360 thousand tonnes of cauliflower and broccoli totaling 435 million USD, 4% over the previous year. Its primary trading partner on the global broccoli market was the United Kingdom, where it supplied 34.6% of its total cauliflower and broccoli exports in value terms, accounting for 72.5% of the United Kingdom's total imports.

From 2007 to 2014, Spain was a net exporter of cauliflower and broccoli. Over this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms. However, in physical terms, the difference was less pronounced.

Mexico and the U.S. were among the other main global suppliers of cauliflower and broccoli in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were China (+21.9% per year) and Mexico (+16.9% per year).

In addition to the U.K, Spain's top 4 trading partners in 2014 were Germany, the Netherlands, France and Norway, with a combined 75% share of Spain's cauliflower and broccoli exports. The share of Germany increased modestly (+2.6 percentage points), while the share of the United Kingdom illustrated negative dynamics (-7.5 percentage points).
