The Netherlands was one of the leaders in the global trade of manure spreaders and fertilizer distributors. In 2014, the Netherlands exported 62,417 units of manure spreaders and fertilizer distributors totaling 92,472 thousand USD, 15% over the previous year. Its primary trading partner was Germany, where it supplied 44% of its total manure spreader and fertilizer distributor exports in value terms.

From 2007 to 2014, the Netherlands was a net exporter of manure spreaders and fertilizer distributors. Over this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms. In physical terms, the difference was more pronounced due to high export prices.

Germany and the U.S. were among the other main global suppliers of manure spreaders and fertilizer distributors in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were Poland (+14% per year) and the Netherlands (+14% per year). With this sustained growth, the Netherlands was able to strengthen its position in the global export structure.

The Netherlands's top 5 trading partners in 2014 were Germany, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Canada, with a combined 73% share of the Netherlands's manure spreader and fertilizer distributor exports. The share of Germany increased significantly (+28 percentage points), while the share of the United Kingdom illustrated negative dynamics (-8 percentage points).
