Which Countries Export the Most Hand Tools?

From 2014 to 2015, global exports on the hand tool market decreased by 8%. In physical terms, they decreased to 2,391 thousand tonnes in 2015, which was 147 thousand tonnes less than the year before.

In 2015, according to market research conducted by IndexBox, China (6,126 million USD), Germany (1,947 million USD), and the U.S. (1,412 million USD) were the main exporters of hand tools in the world, together comprising 54% of global exports. China remained the fastest-growing exporter. From 2007 to 2015, average annual growth rates of hand tool exports from this country stood at +8.3%.

France held third place in this ranking with a 3% share, followed by the Netherlands, Italy, and India (2% each).

While the shares of China (+8 percentage points) and India (+2 percentage points) increased the shares of the other countries displayed negative dynamics. Germany demonstrated the largest decline in export share size (-5 percentage points).
