In 2015, the value of total imports on the global doll and toy market stood at 44,872 million USD. Overall, there was an annual increase of +3.6% for the period from 2007 to 2015. In physical terms, the total volume of dolls and toys reached 5,871 thousand tonnes in 2015, an increase of 2 thousand tonnes against the previous year.

In 2015, the U.S. (14,233 million USD), the UK (2,873 million USD), Germany (2,844 million USD), France (2,017 million USD), Japan (1,915 million USD), Canada (1,390 million USD) and Italy (1,089 million USD) were the main destinations for dolls and toys imports, together comprising 59% of total imports.

From 2007 to 2015, according to market research conducted by IndexBox, Germany had the highest growth rates of imports, with a CAGR of +4.9%. The remaining importing countries showed a positive dynamic: France (+3.4%), Japan (+3.0%), the U.S. (+2.9%), the UK (+2.0%) and Canada (+1.6%).

The U.S. (-2 percentage points) saw its share reduced from 2007 to 2015, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
