Chipped Coniferous Wood Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
The average chipped coniferous wood export price stood at $18.5 per cubic meter in March 2022, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2022 when the average export price increased by 49% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $18.6 per cubic meter in February 2022, and then reduced slightly in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Poland ($18.9 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($17.1 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+10.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average chipped coniferous wood import price amounted to $22 per cubic meter, jumping by 18% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, faced a precipitous descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 38%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $210 per cubic meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($26 per cubic meter), while the price for Poland stood at $9.4 per cubic meter.
