Chipped Non-Coniferous Wood Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
In March 2022, the average chipped non-coniferous wood export price amounted to $37.5 per cubic meter, with an increase of 8.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price posted prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2021 when the average export price increased by 40% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in March 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($43.0 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Poland ($36.4 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+16.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average chipped non-coniferous wood import price stood at $129 per cubic meter in 2022, reducing by -5.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 68%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $205 per cubic meter in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($803 per cubic meter), while the price for Poland ($94 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, overseas shipments of non-coniferous wood in chips or particles were finally on the rise to reach 377K cubic meters for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend.
