Crude Coconut Oil Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023
The average crude coconut oil import price stood at $1,132 per ton in August 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a abrupt decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 25% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,105 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Sri Lanka ($3,001 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($960 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sri Lanka (-1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
