Crude Palm Oil Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average crude palm oil import price amounted to $2,469 per ton, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded slight growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 149%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($3,012 per ton) and Germany ($2,798 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($2,204 per ton) and Poland ($2,786 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+20.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average crude palm oil export price amounted to $3,410 per ton, leveling off at the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a pronounced descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 97%. The export price peaked at $4,587 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Slovakia.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Slovakia amounted to -2.9% per year.
Crude Palm Oil Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, the amount of crude palm oil imported into the Czech Republic skyrocketed to 69 tons, with an increase of 25% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 159%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 73 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, crude palm oil imports skyrocketed to $171K in 2022. In general, imports showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 107%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Crude Palm Oil Exports in the Czech Republic
For the third year in a row, the Czech Republic recorded decline in overseas shipments of crude palm oil, which decreased by -40.7% to 10 tons in 2022. In general, exports recorded a significant contraction. The smallest decline of -34.7% was in 2020.
In value terms, crude palm oil exports fell significantly to $35K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports faced a precipitous shrinkage. The smallest decline of -6.8% was in 2020.
