The average ferro-alloys; ferro-nickel import price stood at $5,349 per ton in June 2023, with an increase of 3.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 22% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $8,315 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from New Caledonia ($5,995 per ton) and Germany ($5,817 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($4,929 per ton) and Colombia ($5,139 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by New Caledonia (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $14,378 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($20,352 per ton), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($1,651 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+111.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
