In December 2022, the average fluorides; of aluminium export price amounted to $1,903 per ton, increasing by 6.9% against the previous month. Over the period from December 2021 to December 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2022 an increase of 14% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $2,008 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to December 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In December 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Brazil ($2,082 per ton) and South Africa ($1,989 per ton), while the average price for exports to Qatar ($1,762 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($1,781 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
