In 2022, the average glass fibre voiles import price amounted to $4,025 per ton, leveling off at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 30% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $5,388 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

The average glass fibre voiles export price stood at $6,968 per ton in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, glass fibre voiles export price increased by +29.0% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $10,264 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($16,842 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($3,005 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
