Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Nigeria (CIF) - 2022
The average insulated coaxial cable import price stood at $4,942 per ton in 2022, declining by -3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 109% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $7,703 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($9,510 per ton), while the price for China ($1,483 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Nigeria (FOB) - 2022
The average insulated coaxial cable export price stood at $3,294 per ton in 2022, picking up by 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, insulated coaxial cable export price decreased by -5.2% against 2020 indices. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,477 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kenya ($22,399 per ton), while the average price for exports to Congo ($901 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kenya (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Imports in Nigeria
In 2022, approx. 2.2K tons of insulated coaxial cables were imported into Nigeria; waning by -77.8% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports recorded a sharp shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 39%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 10K tons, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, insulated coaxial cable imports fell sharply to $11M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a precipitous shrinkage.
