Liqueurs and Cordials Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average liqueurs and cordials import price stood at $3.0 per litre in January 2022, waning by -8.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2021 when the average import price increased by 18% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3.2 per litre in December 2021, and then dropped in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was France ($3.8 per litre), while the price for Belarus ($907 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average liqueurs and cordials export price amounted to $1.6 per litre, approximately equating the previous year. In general, the export price saw a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 55% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $4.8 per litre in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($2.1 per litre), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($0.7 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Liqueurs and Cordials Imports in Russia
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of liqueurs and cordialses decreased by -8.3% to 19M litres in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 77%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at 20M litres in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, liqueurs and cordials imports reduced to $54M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +6.9% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $64M, and then fell in the following year.

In 2022, exports of liqueurs and cordialses from Russia fell rapidly to 362K litres, waning by -23% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports showed a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 98%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 479K litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, liqueurs and cordials exports declined dramatically to $578K in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment.
