The average metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured import price stood at $1,322,224 per ton in 2022, reducing by -24.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 96%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,758 per kg, and then reduced notably in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,712,396 per ton), while the price for Germany stood at $1,127,366 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 7 kg. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured imports reduced modestly to $6.4K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 167%.
