Peanut Butter Price in Ukraine (CIF) - 2023
The average peanut butter import price stood at $2,604 per ton in August 2023, rising by 5.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 38% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,287 per ton. From July 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($5,529 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($2,021 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Peanut Butter Price in Ukraine (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average peanut butter export price amounted to $4,027 per ton, surging by 2.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a mild expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 13% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,418 per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Armenia ($4,820 per ton) and Moldova ($4,591 per ton), while the average price for exports to Georgia ($3,252 per ton) and Azerbaijan ($4,300 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Armenia (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Peanut Butter Imports in Ukraine
In 2022, purchases abroad of peanut butter and prepared or preserved groundnuts decreased by -18.7% to 1.9K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, imports saw a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 7.4% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 2.5K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, peanut butter imports contracted markedly to $4.4M in 2022. Overall, imports showed a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $5.3M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Peanut Butter Exports in Ukraine
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of peanut butter and prepared or preserved groundnuts, when their volume decreased by -44.8% to 405 tons. Over the period under review, exports showed a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 48% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 734 tons, and then declined remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, peanut butter exports declined markedly to $1.5M in 2022. In general, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 53%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $2.4M, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
