The average import price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows stood at $4,145 per ton in November 2023, reducing by -13.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 14% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,530 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($12,781 per ton), while the price for China ($2,881 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In November 2023, the average export price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows amounted to $5,429 per ton, with an increase of 5.1% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2023 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous month. The export price peaked in November 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($10,677 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($2,469 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
