In January 2022, the average import price for apples, pears and quinces; freshes amounted to $727 per ton, surging by 2.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2021 an increase of 9.9% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $914 per ton in July 2021; however, from August 2021 to January 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Argentina ($1,006 per ton), while the price for Belarus ($599 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
