The average blankets and travelling rugs import price stood at $8.9 per unit in August 2023, waning by -3.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 an increase of 17% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $12.6 per unit. From March 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($27.0 per unit), while the price for Turkey ($6.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average blankets and travelling rugs export price amounted to $22 per unit, reducing by -14.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw measured growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 118% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $26 per unit in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($80 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($8.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
