In July 2023, the average import price for briquettes, ovoids and similar solid fuels; manufactured from coals amounted to $227 per ton, with an increase of 3% against the previous month. In general, the import price posted a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 53% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $237 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($257 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic stood at $214 per ton.

From December 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+9.3%).

The export price peaked at $372 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the UK.
