Price for Cereal Flour; of Maize (Corn) in Peru (CIF) - 2021

The average import price for cereal flour; of maize (corn) stood at $844 per ton in April 2020, with a decrease of -5.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a deep setback. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,004 per ton. From February 2020 to April 2020, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2020, the countries with the highest prices were Colombia ($926 per ton) and the United States ($850 per ton), while the price for Mexico ($667 per ton) and Venezuela ($809 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From January 2020 to April 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Venezuela (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The export price peaked at $2,622 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($7,923 per ton), while the average price for exports to Chile ($763 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Chile (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
