In May 2023, the average import price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses amounted to $545 per ton, increasing by 5.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 11% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $623 per ton. From February 2023 to May 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($577 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($519 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In June 2023, the average export price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses amounted to $516 per ton, declining by -2.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $639 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($525 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland totaled $361 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+0.5%).

In 2022, imports of cereal groats; meal and pelletses into Slovakia fell rapidly to 12K tons, waning by -41.9% compared with 2021. Overall, imports saw a dramatic shrinkage. The smallest decline of -25.2% was in 2020.

Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 159%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 9.6K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
