Price for Chloride Oxides and Chloride Hydroxides; Other than of Copper in Ghana (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average import price for chloride oxides and chloride hydroxides; other than of coppers amounted to $2,498 per ton, increasing by 7.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 86% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $5,507 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,152 per ton), while the price for China ($1,043 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, purchases abroad of chloride oxides and chloride hydroxides; other than of coppers was finally on the rise to reach 8.2 tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, recorded a deep slump.
In value terms, imports of chloride oxides and chloride hydroxides; other than of coppers surged to $20K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a noticeable shrinkage.
