In 2022, the average export price for cocoa; shells, husks, skins and other cocoa wastes amounted to $490 per ton, increasing by 48% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a resilient increase from 2015 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the last seven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for cocoa; shells, husks, skins and other cocoa wastes increased by +94.3% against 2020 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
