The average conveyor and conveying equipment import price stood at $17 per unit in 2022, growing by 15% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a dramatic slump. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $4,039 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($53 per unit), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($0.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average conveyor and conveying equipment export price amounted to $55 per unit, with an increase of 23% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, faced a significant decline. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $12,639 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($1,021 per unit), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($5.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+16.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Imports of Conveyor and Conveying Equipment in the United States
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in overseas purchases of conveyors and conveying equipment, when their volume decreased by -0.2% to 215M units. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 16,294% against the previous year.
