The average import price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s stood at $8,809 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 22%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $12,507 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($20,308 per ton), while the price for Spain ($5,116 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
