In November 2023, the average import price for crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, prepared or preserveds amounted to $3,496 per ton, which is down by -38.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2023 an increase of 48% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5,974 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($5,975 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,815 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $13,071 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($14,423 per ton), while the average price for exports to Montenegro ($2,936 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Switzerland (+14.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
