The average export price for ferrous waste and scrap; of stainless steels stood at $1,523 per ton in November 2023, which is down by -2.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 35% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,850 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($5,396 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($1,437 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
