The average export price for flax; broken or scutched, but not spuns stood at $2,144 per ton in March 2022, shrinking by -2.9% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 when the average export price increased by 17% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2,570 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($2,703 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia stood at $1,833 per ton.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for flax; broken or scutched, but not spuns stood at $3,081 per ton in March 2022, dropping by -11.4% against the previous month.
