In September 2023, the average import price for flours and meals; of soya beanses amounted to $631 per ton, with an increase of 14% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $661 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($2,077 per ton), while the price for Serbia amounted to $1,460 per ton.
