The average export price for halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides stood at $12,024 per ton in 2022, growing by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides increased by +86.0% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 63%. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 52% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $13,881 per ton. From March 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($29,333 per ton), while the price for China ($3,260 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
