In July 2023, the average import price for household refrigerators and home freezers amounted to $44.1 per unit, rising by 16% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 22% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $44.5 per unit in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($139 per unit), while the price for Ireland ($5.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average export price for household refrigerators and home freezers amounted to $20.7 per unit, which is down by -2.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 7.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $22.0 per unit in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Canada ($38.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to China ($13.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
