The average import price for iron or steel; non-threaded cotters and cotter-pinses stood at $6,923 per ton in 2022, waning by -41.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 42%. The import price peaked at $22,451 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($61,043 per ton), while the price for the UK ($3,416 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, imports of iron or steel; non-threaded cotters and cotter-pinses fell significantly to $678K in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $1.1M, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
