The average molybdenum; waste and scrap export price stood at $15,807 per ton in 2022, jumping by 85% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced setback. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $25,017 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($16,008 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany amounted to $2,538 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+28.1%).
Exports of Molybdenum; Waste and Scrap in Serbia
In 2022, overseas shipments of molybdenum; waste and scraps decreased by -42.6% to 872 kg, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 226% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 2.2 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
