In September 2023, the average import price for nuts, edible; almonds, fresh or dried, shelleds amounted to $4,759 per ton, with an increase of 2.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,212 per ton. From July 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,003 per ton), while the price for the United States ($4,536 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In September 2023, the average export price for nuts, edible; almonds, fresh or dried, shelleds amounted to $5,897 per ton, surging by 15% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 17% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,976 per ton. From June 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($15,017 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($2,741 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
