In 2022, the average optical instrument and lens import price amounted to $29 per unit, rising by 4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 9.4%. The import price peaked at $47 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($83 per unit), while the price for Hong Kong SAR ($3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+30.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average optical instrument and lens export price stood at $39 per unit in 2022, rising by 77% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a sharp curtailment.
