In 2022, the average import price for plants, live; bulbs, tubers, tuberous roots, corms, crowns and rhizomes, dormants amounted to $0.4 per unit, with an increase of 9.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 55%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($0.4 per unit), while the price for China ($0.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+18.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The smallest decline of -4.6% was in 2021. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at $289K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
