In 2022, the average import price for plants, live; bulbs, tubers, tuberous roots, corms, crowns and rhizomes, dormants amounted to $0.1 per unit, picking up by 24% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a abrupt descent. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $0.2 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($0.1 per unit), while the price for the Netherlands amounted to $0.1 per unit.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Overall, the export price, however, showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 13% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $0.2 per unit, and then contracted in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($0.3 per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany totaled less than $0.1 per unit.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (-14.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 454%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $102K, and then shrank notably in the following year.
