In 2022, the average import price for sugar confectionery; (excluding chewing gum, including white chocolate), not containing cocoa amounted to $3,346 per ton, shrinking by -5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 13%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $3,737 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,306 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,113 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The export price peaked at $6,059 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,946 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($3,645 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
