The export price peaked at $1,346 per ton in May 2023, and then fell slightly in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were France ($1,576 per ton) and Spain ($1,299 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($1,212 per ton) and Germany ($1,290 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
