In August 2023, the average import price for vermiculite, perlite and chlorites; unexpandeds amounted to $237 per ton, with an increase of 29% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $517 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was South Africa ($835 per ton), while the price for Greece ($102 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
