The average import price for wine; still, in containers holding 2 litres or lesses stood at $29.7 per litre in September 2022, surging by 7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 when the average import price increased by 43% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $32.1 per litre. From February 2022 to September 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($55.6 per litre), while the price for Argentina ($6.1 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($54.4 per litre), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($13.3 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+19.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
