Printed Circuit Price in Bulgaria (CIF) - 2023
In October 2023, the average printed circuit import price amounted to $414 per thousand units, falling by -23.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 31% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $646 per thousand units in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($647 per thousand units), while the price for Hong Kong SAR ($266 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Printed Circuit Price in Bulgaria (FOB) - 2023
In October 2023, the average printed circuit export price amounted to $932 per thousand units, approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a modest expansion from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, printed circuit export price decreased by -27.0% against May 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 84% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1.5 per unit. From January 2023 to October 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($4.0 per unit), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($746 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Printed Circuit Imports in Bulgaria
In 2022, the amount of printed circuits imported into Bulgaria totaled 411M units, growing by 3.6% against the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 24%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, printed circuit imports reduced to $191M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +13.9% over the last three-year period. Printed Circuit Exports in Bulgaria
For the third year in a row, Bulgaria recorded decline in shipments abroad of printed circuits, which decreased by -5.4% to 63M units in 2022. In general, exports faced a abrupt slump. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 93M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, printed circuit exports reduced notably to $65M in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 11%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $96M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
