Printing Ink Price in Brazil (CIF) - 2023
The average printing ink import price stood at $8,320 per ton in October 2023, falling by -21.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 20% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $11,010 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($34,467 per ton), while the price for Germany ($3,653 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Printing Ink Price in Brazil (FOB) - 2023
The average printing ink export price stood at $5,530 per ton in October 2023, waning by -1.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 29% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $7,403 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Chile ($8,349 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Dominican Republic ($3,970 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Dominican Republic (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Printing Ink Imports in Brazil
In 2022, the amount of printing ink imported into Brazil reached 18K tons, growing by 1.7% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, recorded a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 12% against the previous year.
In value terms, printing ink imports expanded remarkably to $164M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 15% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Printing Ink Exports in Brazil
In 2022, exports of printing ink from Brazil skyrocketed to 2.8K tons, jumping by 28% compared with the year before.
